Doris Rodriguez

Doris M. Rodriguez, 91, of Cheboygan, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2018 at McLaren Hospice House in Cheboygan.

Doris was born April 22, 1927 in Lincoln Park Michigan, the daughter of Alton and Velva (Abbot) Page.  She was a graduate of Dearborn High School, and later attended the Society of Arts and Crafts School in Detroit, where she met her future husband, Charles “Chuck” Rodriguez, and they were married on May 30, 1949 in Detroit.  Doris later worked at a commercial flower nursery in Connecticut, and enjoyed maintaining her own flower gardens for many years.  She also enjoyed reading, was an excellent baker, and was a member of St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church in Cheboygan.

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Charles, a daughter, Rebecca Rodriguez of Cheboygan, two sisters, Shirley Smith of Cheboygan, and Betty Bordt of Florida, a brother, Alton Page, Jr., of Dearborn and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at noon, at St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church in Cheboygan.

Memorials may be made to the Cheboygan County Humane Society.
