Dorothy (StPeter) Sheneman

Dorothy Sheneman, 89 of Topinabee passed away on October 23, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

Dorothy was born on August 4, 1929 in Detroit, MI the daughter of James StPeter and Harriet (Rumbuski) StPeter. She grew up in Detroit and Topinabee and attended school in Detroit. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, playing cards, especially Rummy & Uno, bingo, collecting statues, and going on Autumn drives to watch the changing leaves. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her animals. Dorothy was a very outspoken lady and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Dorothy is survived by her children John (Marie) Sheneman, Brian (Mary Telehowski) Sheneman, and Linda (Norm) Jewell, grandchildren Michelle (Ryan Ingo) Sheneman, Kevin Sheneman, Denay (John Chenault) Sheneman, Koaleen (Kenny Jones) Sheneman, Adrianna Sheneman, Jared (Sheanne) Sheneman, Ashley Jewell, and Brenda (Matt) Ozog, great-grandchildren Alexis Kyle, Kailey Kyle, Jenna Kyle, Chloe Ingo, Dontae Mattews, Trinity Jones, Serenity Sheneman, Tacey Sheneman, Ethan Chenault, Tiffany Ozog, Courtney Ozog, Ethan Chenault, and Tristan Chenault. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathy Sheneman, and seven siblings. 

Services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, October 27th. Visitation will be held from 11-12 with a funeral at 12pm at the Topinabee Community Church.
