Dwight "Ike" Stuebing

Dwight R. "Ike" Stuebing, 65

Lifelong area resident Dwight "Ike" Stuebing walked on from this life to the next on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Bay Bluffs of Harbor Springs.

Ike was born at home on September 1, 1952 in Pellston, his parents were Theodore Stuebing and Mary Elizabeth Wabanimkee.    

His family plan to honor his life and memory on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tribal Housing Community Center, 5656 Ap-Gish-Mok Blvd., Harbor Springs, MI 49740.

He was a proud member of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawas

Most found Ike to be a gentle soul; kind, generous, friendly and easy going to a fault.  He led a simple life and enjoyed few things more than walking and hiking.  He was the father of Travis Stuebing of Charlevoix and the brother of Julia (Mark) Tanner of Alanson, Elizabeth "Liz" (Harvey) Wabanimkee-Yates of Williamsburg, Margie Gishitomi of Honolulu,  David (Cheryl) Wabanimkee of East Port, and Frank Wabanimkee of Traverse City, and uncle and cousin to many others in his family.  He was preceded by his parents and by brothers Leo, Ben, Herb, Walter, Daniel and Augustine Wabanimkee.
