Eleanor Dorothy (Picarski) Adams

Eleanor Adams went to be with the Lord in the early hours of Sunday, July 28th.  Eleanor was born to Anthony and Helen (Wycowski) Picarski on September 30, 1921 in Petoskey.

She met her husband Robert “Bob” Adams and would marry him on September 30, 1947.  Together they raised six kids; James Adams, Dianne (Art) Vallad, Bob Adams, Jr., Raymond (Carole) Adams, Helen Adams and Patricia King.  Eleanor was the fourth out of five children.  Her siblings were Walt Picarski, John Picarski, Gertrude Rautio and Jeanette Tousain.

Eleanor loved being with her kids and grandchildren.  She loved Bingo, watching parades, going to the beach and many more activities.

Eleanor had seven grandchildren; Jason Vallad, Kelly Vallad, Brian Adams, Lori (Justin) Kelts, Wesley (Theresa) King, Corey King and Kala (Josh) Carr; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, two sons, one daughter, son-in-law Mark King and all her siblings.

Eleanor will be missed dearly.  The love she showed to all of us will live on.

A memorial mass will be celebrated 1:00 PM Thursday, August 1st at St. Matthews Church in Boyne City with a gathering of family and friends being held from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.  Burial will take place at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
