Ellen (Binnie) Kelly

Ellen Kelly (nee Binnie), 74, of Petoskey, Michigan, devoted wife of Tom, beloved sister of Bill (Georganne) Binnie, loving mother of Katie, Tom and Jennifer (Mike) Ludovice, doting grandmother of Abigail and Zachary Birchfield and Allison and Lauren Ludovice and dedicated friend to so many. Born in New York City in 1942, Ellen grew up in Chicago and its suburbs. She graduated from Loretto Heights College in Denver in 1964. Married in 1966, she and Tom were blessed to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in July.

Ellen’s interests included reading, travelling and honing her skills as a wonderful hostess and chef for friends and family.  She also enjoyed bridge, rummikub and mahjong and was a member of The Niners golf group at Petoskey Bay View Country Club.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Stone Funeral Home, 2098 E. Mitchell Street, Petoskey, MI. A funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 513 Howard Street, Petoskey, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan are appreciated.
