Evelyn (Johnson) Woods

Evelyn A. Woods, 89, of Wolverine, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

Evelyn was born October 6, 1927 in Tower, the daughter of Edemund and Dortha (Miller) Johnson.  She attended school in Tower, and later, on August 21, 1970 in Wolverine, she married Gerald Woods, where the couple made their home.  She was employed at ITT in Petoskey for 20 years, retiring in 1989.  Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, and going to garage sales.

Surviving are two daughters, Renita (Jerry) Muringer of Prescott, and Rhoda (Neil) Bunker of Wolverine, 6 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a sister, Violet (Garry)Middaugh of Dearborn Heights, and a brother, Clyde Johnson of Cleveland, Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, a sister, Vada Middaugh, and a brother, Buck Johnson.

No services are planned at this time.
