Harley W. Hollopeter, 53, of Cheboygan, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018.
A lifelong resident of the area, Harley was born October 29, 1964 in Petoskey, the son of Harley and Mary (Kolaski) Hollopeter. On July 4, 1990 in Cheboygan, he married Tammy Socolovitch. Harley was employed as a mechanic, working on all types of motors. He enjoyed modifying and fine tuning motors to gain the most performance possible, and also enjoyed hunting. He especially loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with his wife, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Tammy, five children, Heather (Jason) LeClair, and Tabatha, Harley, Sheena, and Ashley Hollopeter, six grandchildren, Devin, JJ, Honor, Gianne, Gavin, and Kyra, his siblings, Dick (Penny) Hollopeter and MaryLou (Roger Carlson) Rose of Cheboygan, Debbie (Dale) Pugh of Indian River, and Barb Hollopeter of Traverse City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Floyd Hollopeter, and a brother in law, Dennis Rose.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00am, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1282 in Cheboygan.
