Helen Alma Lick-Lyons

Helen Lick-Lyons passed away Thursday, February 9th in Petoskey, MI.

Helen was born March 10, 1923 to Amelia and Gustav Lick. She lived in the Boyne Falls and Boyne City area all of her life. Helen graduated from Boyne Falls High School in 1942 and took a Home Economics course from MS College in 1944. She was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone Company for 18 years. She enjoyed making quilts, crocheting, sewing, canning, cooking and baking, and rummage sales. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Lutheran Ladies Aid. In 1946 she married Orvis Lyons and they made their home in the Boyne Falls Area.

She is survived by her adopted daughter Gissele (Alan) Massey and 5 grandchildren; Alan (Amy) Massey, Diana (Dannie) Arnold, Amy (Jeremy) Massey-Knapp, Jessica (Stephen) Ward, and Matthew Massey; and 9 great-grandchildren, Thane, Savannah, Mackensie, Mikaiyla, Dannie, Rianna, Connor, Aiden, and Madalynn.

The funeral will be held at the Boyne City Christ Lutheran Church at 11:00 am on Wednesday February 15, 2017 with visitation being held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Boyne City Christ Lutheran Church.
