Herbert Howard Jr 89 of Boyne City passed away March 2, 2019 at Grandvue Medical Care Facility in East Jordan where he had resided for twenty months.

Herbert was born to Herbert and Ida (Hadix) Howard Feb. 14, 1930.

On May 5, 1956, he married Linda Lou Erno. Together they made their home in Boyne City and raised five children. He had a passion for music and loved playing his guitars and mandolin. While at Grandvue he blessed others with his singing and music.

He is survived by three sons, Paul (Terry) Howard of Boyne Falls, Elwood (Jayne) Howard, Norman (Hannah) Howard both of Boyne City and two daughters, Mardi (Virgil) Bliss, Patsy (Ronnie) Prichard both of Lenoir NC; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, a sister Aubrey Wilson, sister-in-law Sally (Ray) Askins both of Boyne City and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda (2017), six brothers and six sisters.
