Illene May (Archer) Rybicki

Illene May Rybicki, 67, died July 24, 2018 at Hiland Cottage Hospice in Petoskey.

She was born on July 1, 1951 in East Detroit, the daughter of Betty Jean Archer. She attended San Jose Junior College.

She married Emery Stafanko and he preceded her in death. Illene worked as an office manager for 35 years. On January 9, 2016, she married Mark Rybicki at the Zion Lutheran Church in Petoskey.

Illene loved dogs and cherished the companionship and unconditional love they provided. She is survived by her dog, Lola.

Illene is also survived by her husband, Mark Rybicki; cousin, Mark Archer; cousin, Suzann (Roger) Noel); nieces, Christian (James) O'Donnell and Joyel (William) Skowten; great-nieces, Payten and Hadley; many other cousins; mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Ronald Rybicki; brother-in-law, John (Caroline) Rybicki; and nephew, Trevor (Sarah) Rybicki.

Illene was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean Archer; and brother, Todd York.

There will be a funeral service at the Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Burial will take place on Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Imlay Township Cemetery in Imlay City at 11:00 a.m.
