James Raymond Friedenstab, 75, a long-time resident of Pellston, Mich died 21st November 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Jim was born in Petoskey on 8th July 1943 to Alfred & Nellie (Mayle) Friedenstab. He grew up in the Brutus area & attended Ayr School, graduating from Pellston High School in 1962. He then served in the Navy (1962-1966).
In April 1969, he married Rosemary Allerding. He worked in the area as a carpenter for most of his life.
He was a friend to everyone he came in contact with.
Jim is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosemary, - 3 sons, Jeff (Lisa), Jim, & Karl, - 5 grandchildren, Alec, Jakeb, Justine, Lindsey, & Derek, - sister, Florence Griffin, - 2 great grandchildren, Eli and Norah, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Dec. 1st, 2018 at the Zion Christian Fellowship Church (corner of US31 and Maple River Road, Brutus) at noon.
