Janette Marie (Lahaie) Elliott

Janette M. Elliott, age 59, of Cheboygan passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 at her home. She was born May 17, 1959 in Cheboygan, the daughter of James and Violet (McKay) Lahaie. She graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1977 and married Mark Elliott on March 30, 1984.

Janette had many interests and hobbies including bird watching, flower gardening, mushroom hunting, pontoon boating, bon fires, camping, snowmobiling, crafts, going to the casino and her Saturday outings to the second-hand stores.

Survivors include her husband Mark, of Cheboygan, three children, Rachel (Art) Langolf of Cheboygan, Crystal Jewell of Harbor Springs and Jared (Jessica Smith) Elliott of Cheboygan, six grandchildren, Emma, Kyler, Rose, Arthur, Violet and Chloe, her brother, Roger Lahaie of Cheboygan and her sister, Debbie Schwedt of Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life/gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, September 22 at 5:00 PM at Mark and Janette’s house, 6167 N. Straits Hwy., Cheboygan. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of the Straits. Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
