Jeffrey Leonard Prell

Jeffrey Leonard Prell, 64 of Charlevoix, Michigan, passed early morning Monday in his sleep at his home in Lake Michigan Heights.

Jeffrey was born on May 20, 1954 in Bay City, Michigan, to Leonard and Jeanette Prell. He grew up in Bay City and graduated from Central High School and then Delta College as an R.N.  In 1996, he moved to Northern Michigan to be Director of Nursing at Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix. In 2003, he and his partner John Caron built and operated Autumn Joy Geriatric AFC on Upper Bay Shore Road. They took care of over 40 elderly folks until 2016 when they retired due to his health. He loved all kinds of crafts but especially quilting.

Jeffrey is survived by his partner, John Caron and his family; son, Christopher (Jenae) Prell of Bay City; grandchildren, Myckaley and Jennaca Prell; and sister, Janine (Louis) Moll of Bay City.

There will be a funeral service on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Stone Funeral Home at 12 noon with a visitation an hour prior. Reverend David Behling will officiate.
