Joan L Zwolinski, of Petoskey, formerly of Boyne City, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
Joan was born on June 13, 1942 in Munising, MI the daughter of Joseph and Eloise (Moyer) Bonevelle. On June 18, 1966 she married James Michael Bogetto, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1998. Joan later married Wayne Zwolinski on October 10, 2004 on Mackinac Island.
Joan taught English and Music at the Boyne City Middle School for more than twenty years until she retired. Joan also taught English Composition at North Central Michigan College. She enjoyed singing for the Friendship Center Choir in Petoskey and loved to play the piano.
Joan is survived by her husband Wayne Zwolinski; children Mark (Prachi) Bogetto and Amy (Jonathan) Weinraub; grandchildren Dominic Bogetto, Ishan Bogetto, Ava Weinraub and Mia Weinraub; and sisters Shirley (Larry) Daniels and Ann (Pete) Herr.
She is preceded in death by her parents and first husband James Michael Bogetto.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City.
Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Petoskey.
Memorial donations may be directed to St. Francis Xavier Church or the Friendship Center in Petoskey.
