John Hall Obituary

John Clyde Hall, 84, of Petoskey, died June 19, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital.

John was born on July 5, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Clyde and Cleo (Walters) Hall. John obtained his Master's Degree from University of Michigan and proudly served in the United States Army.

On June 12, 1954, he married Nancy Jones. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Throughout his life, John served as a school administrator, educator, writer and small business owner. In his retirement, John worked in the security department at Boyne Highlands. He was a former board member for the Little Traverse Historical Society and past President of the Petoskey District Library.

John is survived by his wife, Nancy Hall; children, Jonathan (Kathryn) Hall of Deerfield, Illinois, Susannah (Robert) Jones of Stuart, Florida, Maggie Hall of Petoskey and Bess (Preston) Parish of East Jordan. John is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jim Hall of Dallas, Texas.

A private family service has been held.
