John F. Kurtz

John F. Kurtz, age 56, of Cheboygan passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his home.  He was born October 18, 1962 at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland, the son of John and Susan (Sullivan) Kurtz. He graduated from High School in Findley, OH in 1980 and had worked in the family businesses in both Ohio and Michigan.

John was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Nichole Johnson of OH, mother, Susan (Welden) Blum of Cheboygan, brother, Joseph (Stephanie) Kurtz of Ohio and Michigan, sister, Kathryn Kurtz of Marquette, MI, grandson, Parker Johnson, step mother, Sandra Kurtz, step brother, Jeff Kurtz, half-sister, Sherrie Kurtz, all of Ohio and his former wife, Tammy Bushman and her son, Dan Bushman and grandson Aaron Bushman, all of Cheboygan. He was preceded in death by his father.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at Susan and Welden’s home, 122 S. Bailey St., Cheboygan on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM
