Joseph W. Brody

Joseph W. Brody, age 73, a lifelong resident of Cheboygan, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his home. He was born December 24, 1944 in Cheboygan, the youngest of six children, to John and Beatrice (Brimacombe) Brody and graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1962. On June 17, 1967 Joe married Sue Bruski.

Joe had worked as a Quality Technician at Tube Forming for many years and retired in 2007. He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, fishing, hunting with his son Joey and brother Ken and woodworking, making planters and picture frames for his family and friends. His family has many fond memories of their time together with him.

Survivors include his two daughters, Amy Karsten and April Brody, two grandsons, Luke Karsten and Levi Brody, all of Cheboygan and many nieces and nephews with who he had shared a special bond. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Joseph E. “Joey” Brody, his former wife, Sue Bruski, his son in law, Jon Karsten, and his five siblings, Shirley Bonnett, Pearl Brody, Rosalind Brody, John Brody and Kenneth Brody.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
