Judy Louise (Gokee) Zednicek

Judy Louise Zednicek (Gokee), 76, died unexpectedly after a short illness, on October 18, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

Judy was born January 7, 1942 in Grayling, Michigan, the daughter of Leonard and Dorothy (Rebtoy) Gokee. She grew up in Petoskey and graduated from Petoskey High School in 1960. She later went on to Cosmetology school where she received her certification.

Judy was a hair stylist for many years owning her own salon for most of them. She lived many years in Missouri, Charlevoix and recently returned to her hometown of Petoskey. Judy was a member of the Street Legends Car Club in Charlevoix for many years. She loved entertaining, anything from hosting holidays to small gatherings. She truly enjoyed cooking/baking and was always looking for a new recipe to try. She also loved driving around in her convertible and going to dinner with friends and family. However, what Judy loved the most was spending time with those she loved.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Tonya Timmerman of Boyne City; her brother, Gary Gokee of Petoskey; along with other extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Dorothy Gokee of Petoskey.
