Kathleen L. Feick

Kathleen L. Feick, 67 of Petoskey, Michigan, died August 25th, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.  Kathy was born January 19th, 1950 in Petoskey, Michigan the daughter of Harvey and Virginia (Cripe) Feick.  She grew up in Petoskey and attended Petoskey High School, North Central Michigan College and received her BS from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant Michigan.

Kathy worked for many years as the office manager at Brecheisen Diesel Service.  The Brecheisen family and coworkers were beloved by Kathy and became Kathy’s extended family.  Kathy was a friend to all who met her and enjoyed her walks with Cousin Carol, friend Sherry and their collection of dogs.  Kathy’s own dogs Sophie and Ruby, aka “The Girls”, were close companions with Kathy especially during her illness.  Spending time in her garden was Kathy’s sanctuary from the world.  Everything in her home and garden bloomed under her loving care.

We take comfort from the special care Kathy received at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.  The nurses, doctors, chaplains and staff were amazing.  We feel blessed to have witnessed the compassionate heartfelt care they gave Kathy.

Kathy is survived by her brother Gerry (MaryLou) Feick, Aunt Katherine Sneathen and Cousins Linda (John) Legard, Patty (Gunnar) Samson, and John (Carol) Sneathen.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Virginia Feick.

A remembrance will be scheduled at a later date for Kathy’s family and friends.
