Kenneth Eggenschwiler

Kenneth N. Eggenschwiler, 84, of Cheboygan, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at home with his children by his side.

A resident of the area for the past 30 years, moving from Detroit, Ken was born June 11, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of John and Mildred (Hackathorne) Eggenschwiler. He served in the U.S. Navy in Korea and Vietnam as a medical corpsman, retiring after 20 years of service.  Ken was a member of the Pellston Masonic Lodge, and the Cheboygan Eagles, #1282, and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Johnnie’s in Cheboygan.

Surviving are two children, a daughter, Kristin Canfield, and her children, Johnathan and Ian, all of Cheboygan, and a son, Matthew (Wendy) Eggenschwiler, and their children, Tyson, Kyle, and Noah, all of Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

No services are planned at this time.  Ken asked that in his memory, to drink a beer in his name at Johnnie’s in Cheboygan.
