Leon T. Noel

Leon T. Noel, age 82, of Cheboygan passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Medilodge of Cheboygan. He was born November 5, 1936 and grew up in the Bliss and Levering areas. On July 13, 1963 in Lansing, Leon married Annette Bordua.

Leon enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958 during the Berlin Crisis and was honorably discharged in 1961. He had worked at Procter & Gamble, Cheboygan Manufacturing, Royal Linen and finally, Boyne Highlands retiring in 2000 due to a stroke.

Leon was a lifetime member of the Cheboygan Eagles and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a Christian, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Annette, four children, David (Gary), Tressa, Rex (Becky) and Shannon (Silvia), three sisters, Patricia Bassett, Sonia (Merill) Cameron, Marylee (Gary) Grant, one brother, Roger (Sue) Noel, grandchildren, Travis (Lisa), Cory, Kayla (John), Madison, David, Brianna (Zack), Zach (Dakota) and Adam and three great grandchildren, Taylor, Bryce and Lilith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Homer Bassett.

No services are planned at this time.  Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
