Louella J. (Ohlrich) Grawey

Louella J. Grawey, age 85, of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and formerly of Levering passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 in Sault Ste. Marie. she was born August 4, 1932 in Rogers City, the daughter of James and Agnes Kraft/ Ohlrich. On December 3, 1950 in Alpena, Louella married Thomas A. Grawey who passed away in February of 2013. 

Louella wasn't just a homemaker.  She devoted her entire life to her family and their family business.  She loved a tidy house and was always busy cooking, gardening or canning.  She appreciated the simple things in life without complaint.  Louella loved to speak of times of past with a flare humor and a sparkle in her eye.  Although she was 85 she could stay keen to details while painting entire mosaic of times of past. 

She will be forever loved and remembered by seven children, Gary (Kathy) of Alpena, Linda McLeod of Linwood, Karen (Gilbert) Bohn of Levering, Ed and Rick, both of AZ and Randy and Greg (Lori), both of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, brother-in-law, Art Grawey, Jr., two sisters-in-law, Theresa Ohlrich and Joanne Hickey, nine grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry and her brother, James Ohlrich. 

The funeral service will take place at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, July 7 at 1:00 PM with the family greeting friends beginning at 11:00 AM. Rev. Paul Megge will officiate and burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
