Madeline Williams Obituary

Madeline Williams, 98, of Cheboygan, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at McLaren Hospice House in Cheboygan.

Madeline was born November 21, 1919 in Flint, the daughter of George and Bernadette (Martin) Johnson, and as a young child moved to Cheboygan with her family. She had worked for the Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Cheboygan, and later worked for a phone company in Florida. She returned to Cheboygan to manage and later own her family’s motel, the Johnson Motel.

Surviving is a brother, Donald Johnson of Cheboygan, a sister, Helen DeFrain of Port Huron, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Dorothy Preston, and three brothers, George, Wilbert, and Robert Johnson.

No services are planned at this time.
