Marion Hill

Marion Hill, 87, of St. Ignace, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Medilodge in Cheboygan with her family at her side. 

Marion was born February 21, 1932 in Mora, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Lucille (Fesfenden) Range.  On January 22, 1950 she married her beloved husband LaRoy “Bud” Hill.  In 1955, they made their way to St. Ignace, where Bud would work for American Bridge.  Many will remember Marion working at Winkelman’s Clothing Store in St Ignace a job and family she dearly loved.  After retiring she enjoyed pike fishing, traveling, puzzles, and planting flowers.  She spent hours fussing over her fur babies, Zookie and Sophie.

Marion is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Bud, a daughter, Becky (Tom) Glashaw, her sisters, Janet, Jeannett, Esther, and Nancy (Ron), her brothers, Duane (Mary) and Eugene, sisters and brothers in law, Betty Lou (Paul), Aggie (Allan), Barbie (Bob) Joe and Edd, and her special friends and caregivers, Kelly, Lyn, and Barb.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Bobby and Anthony, grandsons Christopher and Robbie, sister Jean, and brothers Pete and LaVerne,

sister in law Barb, brothers in law, Ernie, Wilber, Bill and Bernard.

At Marion’s request, cremation has taken place.    A private family service will be held at a later date.
