Mark “Hoot” Reinhout, 59, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away July 6, 2017 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.
He was born March 23, 1958 in Petoskey, the son of John and Ruthie (Cooper) Reinhout. Mark was a member of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians. He attended Mackinaw City Schools, graduating in 1976, and later served in the U.S. Air Force for six years after which he made his home in Montgomery, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancée Margaret Kennedy, her family and their friends, a daughter, Karren Reinhout of Prattville, Alabama, a brother, Tony (Cindy) Reinhout, two sisters, Claire Reinhout and Sue (Clyde) Vallance, all of Cheboygan, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Gene Reinhout.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00pm at Lakeview Cemetery in Mackinaw City, with J.D. Gibson officiating.
