Marvin J. “Joe” LaFrinere, age 73, of Cheboygan passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey. He was born January 24, 1946 in Cheboygan, the son of Marvin and Thelma (Rose) LaFrinere. On March 17, 1994 in Cheboygan, Joe married Becky Harper.

Joe had worked at Louie’s Equipment Sales as a repair technician and retired in 2012 after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Becky of Cheboygan, one daughter, Erika LaFrinere of Grand Haven, his in-laws, Rob (Kate) Harper of Cheboygan, Kelly Harper of Cheboygan, David Harper of Petoskey, Paul Harper of Cheboygan and Brenda Fitzgerald of AR and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rose.
