Michael William Readmond

Michael William Readmond, 62, died July 26, 2017 at home in Levering.

Mike was born on May 16, 1955 in Cheboygan, Michigan, the youngest son of Keith and Harriet (Stark) Readmond. Mike grew up in Levering and graduated from Pellston High School. On September 28, 1991, he married Lisa Crawford at the Church of the Straits in Mackinaw City. For the last ten years, Mike has worked at Fairbairn's in Alanson and was well known for always being extremely helpful and friendly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending to his vegetable garden. He was a member of the Pellston Masonic Lodge #440 F&AM. Mike loved his "fur children"; dog, Max and cats, Chloe and Boz. Mike will be remembered for being a generous and kind man.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Readmond; mother, Harriet Readmond; brothers, Leonard (Betty) Readmond and Jim (Ann) Readmond, all of Levering; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Curtis Crawford of Sault Ste. Marie; and sister-in-law, Vicki Crawford of Pensacola, FL. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Keith Readmond; and brother, Walter Readmond.

Friends and family wishing to make a charitable donation in memory of Mike are asked to consider the Cheboygan County Humane Society.

There will be a memorial service, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a one hour visitation prior to the service.
