I remember years ago Mike after one of his surgeries and my dad, uncle Fuzz, after his, both walking (slowly) together down our road. They are walking together now I'm sure. I have many fond memories of time spent over the years, hours spent talking❤️ You are missed.

Mike: The Big-Hearted Man

I began working at the University of Michigan Biological Station in 1999 and met Mike through his wife Lisa. At that time, she was my coworker and later would became my immediate supervisor. I hit it off with Mike and Lisa because they are animal lovers, and always do the right thing by them.
The things that stand out in my mind most about Mike are:
• When he was a young boy, he took off his shoes and gave them to a kid in need. I am sure that was a hard to explain when he got home.
• As a grown mature man, he took off his jacket, on more than one occasion, and gave it to someone he felt needed it more than he did. I am sure that was difficult to explain to his wife, Lisa.
• When I rescued my cat, Rocky, from the Station and had a huge vet bill, he gave me a donation.
• Mike, along with Lisa, also helped me in my real estate career.
• Early on Mike recommended a handyman to me. Every time he ran into him, he would remind him in special “Mike words,” if you get my drift, as to make sure he was taking care of me appropriately.
• He also sat through my dance recitals with Lisa giving me support.

That was Mike—My Friend!

"Time flies, say not so. Time stays, we go." In the scheme of all things great, we shall meet again. It is an honor to be your sister as we walk the path of life. That smile of yours will always brighten a room like a fresh bouquet of daisies. I am thankful that you were a great part of our lives and helped my sons to become men.
