Michael Ervin Richter

Michael Richter, age 67 of Boyne City passed away on May 4th, 2019 in Petoskey, MI.

Mike was born May 18th, 1951 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  He was the son of Ervin Richter and Hannah Lindstrom.

Mike joined the Army upon graduation which he later retired from.  He married Laurie Bekkering and had two sons; Jon and Joe.  Mike enjoyed going to the Upper Peninsula, gardening and playing Black Jack.  He loved his family, friends and coffee.  Mike was a very social man ready to tell a joke or help anyone.  He loved to cook.

Mike is survived by his children Jon (Lisa) Richter and Joe Richter; mother Hannah Lindstrom; sister Cindi Kline; brother Scott Richter; grandchildren Alyson Leigh Richter, Samanta Dodge, Olivia Massey, Richelle Massey, Brandon Massey; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Ervin Richter and brother Randall Todd Richter.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City with a gathering of family and friends being held from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
