Milan "Mike" Helmboldt Obituary

MILAN (Mike) G. HELMBOLDT, 98, passed away on October 29, 2019, at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility in Harbor Springs, MI.


She was born to parents Leo John Beebe and Blanche C. (Nixon) Beebe on May 30, 1921 in Chesaning, MI. She graduated from Owosso High School in 1939, and received her Beautician’s License that same year. “Mike” continued to do hair until her mid eighties.


Mike was married to Dr. Kenneth L. Fowler in 1941 and moved with him to Linden, MI., Married Leo Helmboldt in 1984.


She is survived by Suzanne (Greg ) Warner and John (Diane) Fowler, both of Alanson, MI as well as five grand children and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband. Leo, sister Charlotte Clifford and two sons, Jim and Michael.


Mike, was well known for her cooking and catering skills, loved to sing and was a member of the Sweet Adelines and the Fenton Presbyterian Church Choir. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Leo. Quilting and sewing were also favorite pastimes. Mike was always up-beat and lived life to the fullest.


A memorial service will be held at a later date.


Memorial contributions may be made to Fenton Presbyterian Church or the Linden Historical Society.
