Norma Marie (Wilson) Schoolcraft

Norma Marie Schoolcraft, 80,  of Afton passed away peacefully at home on October 6, 2019.   Norma was born on August 15, 1939 to Duncan & Mable (Remley) Wilson in Petoskey, MI.  She attended school at Epsilon East of Petoskey and graduated from Inland Lakes High School.  On August 31, 1956 she married Richard Schoolcraft in Cheboygan.  The couple made their home and raised their family in Afton.  For several years Norma was employed at the former Onaway Hospital and later at Sunnybank Assisted Living in Petoskey.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, canning, sowing & reading.  She was a member of the Afton Community Club and the former Afton Aids.

Norma is survived by her husband  Richard Schoolcraft, children William M. (Sherry) Schoolcraft of Alanson, Ricky J. Schoolcraft of Afton, Carolyn (Gary) Janisse of Indian River. loving grandkids Avon, Megan, Chelsie, Kimberley, John, Sean & Seth and 14 great grandchildren.

a Brother John Wilson of Indian River, & sister Beverly Du Bois of Battle Creek.  She was preceded in death by child Michael Schoolcraft & sister Rachael Kissinger.

On Thursday October 10, a graveside service is scheduled in Walker Township Cemetery at 11AM.
