Paulette Marie (Hansen) Hoover

Paulette Marie Hoover, 68, of Boyne City, passed away on September 4th, 2017.

A Gathering will be held in her honor on Saturday September 9th, 2017, at the United Methodist Church (324 South Park Ave. Boyne City, MI 49712) from 12 to 2 P.M.  Funeral Services will be held immediately following at 2:00 PM..

Paulette was born in Charlevoix, MI on October 15, 1948 to Edward and Joan Hansen.  She graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1966 as valedictorian of her class.  Paulette married Stanley Hoover on July 2nd, 1971.  They had 5 children and enjoyed 46 years of marriage together.  Her greatest joy was her family.  She was a wonderful wife and loved being a mother and grandmother.

Paulette had a true love for photography and always had a camera in hand.  She was an accomplished seamstress and spent countless hours making night gowns, costumes and doll clothes for her children and grandchildren.  She was a beautiful pianist and taught all her children to sing.  Paulette had a heart for service and spent many hours volunteering her time and talents at the local school and church. Her faith played an important part in her life. She loved baking for her family and sharing goodies with the neighbors and friends.  Paulette had a witty sense of humor and loved to tell stories. Paulette would always make holidays special by decorating for the occasion and making special meals, which created cherished family traditions.

Paulette Hoover is preceded in death by her father, Edward Hansen, and her mother, Joan (Grandmaison) Hansen, and her sister, Trudy.

Paulette is survived by her husband Stanley, 5 children: Jennifer Betzold (Jonathan), Jason Hoover (Rhonda), Celeste Cruse (David), Charity Call (Heath), and Maria Hoover, 13 grandchildren: Savannah Stanley (Philip), Caleb Betzold, Isaac Betzold, Sierra Betzold, Loreli Betzold, Meleah Betzold, Kirsten Hoover, Wyatt Hoover, Paxton Hoover, Tyler Call, James Call, Nadya Call, and Sharley Call, 2 great-grandchildren Marley Hoover and Hyrum Stanley, 7 sisters: Becky Berg, Annette Halasz (Phil), Rochelle Klein (Richard), Heidi Miller, Gayle Krasean (Tom), Andrea Schachow (George), and Melissa Hansen and several nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.
