Peter A. Skinger

Peter Andrew Skinger, 69 of Petoskey, died February 11, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Pete was born on November 16, 1947 in Chicago, IL, the youngest of 5 children born to Donald and Jean (MacDonald) Skinger.  Pete received his accounting degree and worked as a CPA at Peter A. Skinger & Co. 

On May 3, 1975, Pete married Christine Wrenn in Matteson.  The two made their home there until Pete retired in 2009 and they moved permanently to Petoskey.

He is survived by his wife, Chris; 6 children, Bart Skinger, Alex (Monika) Skinger, Scott (Amy) Skinger, Amy Skinger, Christopher (Amanda) Skinger, and Betsy (Jeff) Janicki; 11 grandchildren, Christina Pagliero, Andrew Rule, Drago Skinger, Isabella Skinger, Anthony Rohlsen, Brady Skinger, Ben Skinger, Sophie Skinger, Henry Skinger, Will Skinger, and Katelyn Skinger; his four-legged kids, Brett Favre, Kiwi, and Cupcake; brother-in-law, Robert E.  (Margaret) Wrenn; sister-in-law, Janet Wrenn; and by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Pete's life will be held at a later date in Chicago, Il.

Arrangements are in the care of the Stone Funeral Home of Petoskey.
