Roger Leonard Falkenhagen, 67, of Sault Saint Marie, Michigan, died December 9, 2019 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
Roger was born on May 28, 1952, the son of Leonard G. and Eva M. (Gilroy) Falkenhagen. He attended school in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan. After high school graduation, Roger joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country from 1971-1975. He returned to Michigan and enlisted in the National Guard in 1983 until his retirement in 2000.
He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for many years in the Otsego county area. He would drive around to pick up donated items and help in any other way that he could. In his spare time, Roger liked to go fishing with his son and grandchildren.
He is survived by his three children, Chris (Becky) Falkenhagen, Rob (Anna) Falkenhagen and Carrie Falkenhagen; grandchildren, Brandon, Bradin, Bradley Falkenhagen, Desiree Seeley, Rebecca Olds, Landon, Mia and Letty Barb; siblings, Carol (Jerry) Gregory and Barbara (Wad) Allison; and nieces and nephews, Teresa (Greg) TurbyFill, Glenda (Kenneth) Creech and Pamela Jarman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Eva Falkenhagen.
Private family services will be held in the summer in Sault Ste. Marie.
