Ron Fryczynski, 53 passed away in his home, November 22, 2019, surrounded by family, after a four-year battle with cancer.
Ron was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed searching for Petoskey Stones and beach glass, and making jewelry out of copper found during his trips to the Upper Peninsula.
Ron is survived by his parents, Thomas and Patricia Fryczynski; wife, Minda Fryczynski; daughter, Bryana (Calvin) McLaughlin; and sister, Connie (Joseph) Barkley.
The following is a poem written by Ron, capturing his love and appreciation for his “Golden Angels”.
My Golden Angels
You have helped to slay my dragon
You’ve come to watch him fall
Making arrows out of chemicals
Expert killers at the call
You all must be angels
That fly on golden wings
I wish I could make this poem better
Damn, if I could only sing
I have an angel at home
She helps me 24/7
I hope and pray to God
We will be together in Heaven
The battle will be long
And I know it will be rough
But with the help of my Golden Angels
I know it will be enough
The dragon will be slayed
And sent straight to Hell
And when the battle is over
Just watch me ring that bell
-Ron Fryczynski
Although Ron never rang the bell, his Golden Angels helped give us four additional years of memories. During this time, he was able to walk his daughter, Bryana, down the isle to a wonderful man, he knows will cherish her forever.
The family wishes to thank Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Northern Michigan. The positivity and smiling faces of the entire team gave Ron the strength to continue his fight, with his unwavering sense of humor.
Per Ron’s wishes, there will be a memorial in the spring for immediate family. There will be no public service held.
