She devoted over fifteen years to teaching a bible study at the First Presbyterian Church in Boyne City and served as youth pastor for over a decade. Over the years, Sari practiced the art of textile design and weaving. She was a talented artist. She enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was gardening, cycling, playing tennis or spending countless hours on the boat on Walloon Lake. She was a founding Partner at Green Plate Catering with her daughter Jess but she received her greatest satisfaction and fulfillment through spending time with her family and sharing the love of Christ.
Sari is survived by her two children, Jessica King and Britton King, both of Petoskey; grandson, Christian King; sister, Sue (Darrel) Shinn; and niece Jennifer (Jonah) Price.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Harbor Light Community Chapel at 11am for a one hour visitation followed by the service and luncheon.
In honor of Sari's wishes, charitable donations in her memory are asked to be considered towards Christian's college fund (care of Jessica King), the Pink Ribbon Ride or an appropriate organization of the donors choosing.
