Susan Lee (Westervelt) Mischloney

Susan Lee Mischloney, 64, of Charlevoix, MI, died November 14, 2019 at home, surrounded by family.

Susan was born in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Oliver Westervelt, the 1st and Gladys Jeanette Feeny. She found the love of her life and was happily married to John Mischloney until his death in 2010.

Family was always the number one priority for Susan. There was nothing she enjoyed more than a day spent outside, fishing or some other activity, followed by a night around a campfire, playing cards until the morning, sharing stories and telling jokes with her closest friends and family. She was an extremely generous person and would spend her last dime to help someone in need. She made sure to teach her children that life was not always about getting what you wanted but finding ways to appreciate what life has already provided. She instilled in her children and grandchildren the true meaning of love and forgiveness. She was extremely proud of her large, loud and loving family.

Susan is survived by her children, Teresa (Greg, Jr.) Seese of Charleviox, Cathalene Brock of Ellsworth, and Walter (Lora) Moblo of Gaylord; 13 grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Quinten, Tannor, Wesley, Emily, Desaraye, Braidin, Taylor, Tori, Megan, Juliea and Bailey; 9 great grandchildren; and her special cuddle buddy, Gizmo; as well as her siblings, Sherrell "Sherry" (the late Jim) Pickett, Jeanne (Dave) Jenks, Oliver, II "Yogi" (Pam) Westervelt, and L.J. (Kerrie) Westervelt. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver, the 1st and Gladys.

Susan's family will remember and celebrate her life on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the home of Teresa and Greg Seese, 14200 Mascho Rd., Charlevoix, MI 49720.

Arrangements are being handled by Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey.
