Theodore Duane “Ted” Maybank, II, 68, of Cheboygan, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Munson Medical Center, Cardiac Care Unit in Traverse City.
Ted was born January 22, 1950 in Cheboygan, the son of Theodore “Ted” and Edwina (Reynolds) Maybank. He was a graduate of Sterling Heights High School prior to joining the U.S. Army and serving in Vietnam as a master sergeant. Ted retired from Krug Rivertown Motors. He also loved to hunt and fish, spend time with his friends and family, and was a member of the Eagles in Cheboygan. His favorite past time was talking to anyone who would listen about how proud he was about his granddaughters Caitlin, Leah, and Quincy.
Surviving is his son, Theodore D. Maybank, III, of South Boardman, a step daughter, Maria Culler of California, his father, Theodore D. Maybank of Indian River, two sisters, Kathy Legene of Alma, and Pamela Prindle of West Bloomfield, a brother, Michael Maybank of Lakeview, three granddaughters, Caitlyn Maybank Graham andLeah Maybank Graham, both of Ispeming, and Quincy Maybank of South Boardman, a grandson, Kyle Whetsel of California, and a daughter in law, Jenna Messinger Maybank, also of South Boardman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edwina (Reynolds) Maybank.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
