Theresa Griffin

Theresa Mary Griffin, 61 of Harbor Springs, Michigan, passed away on December 21, 2019 at her home.

Daughter of Felix J. and Virginia N. (Newman) McCarron, Theresa was born on December 9, 1958 in East Lansing, Michigan where she grew up. In 1977 she resided on Mackinac Island then moved to Harbor Springs.

Theresa met Earl Griffin in 1984. They were married on July 4, 1994 at their home and spent 25 years together.  While living on Mackinac Island Theresa ran the newspaper.   She then went to work at J.C. Penney's for 22 years, retiring 11 years ago.

Theresa loved the outdoors. She liked to mushroom hunt and would frequently come back with a bag of rocks. She loved animals, horses and especially her dogs!

Theresa is survived by her loving husband Earl Griffin; her siblings: Virginia M. (Herman Marshall) McCarron of Sparta, Michigan, James C. (Cheryl) McCarron of White Lake, Michigan, Mary C. (Paul) Waxer-Leto of Canton, Michigan, Joseph P. McCarron of Petoskey, Michigan, and Kelly C. (Lisa) McCarron of Dewitt, Michigan; her four nieces and five nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

Preceding Theresa in death are her parents Felix J. and Virginia N. McCarron; and her grandparents: Chadwick and Ethel Newman, and James and Mary McCarron.

A memorial service for Theresa will be officiated by Rev. Sherry McGuffin at 11:00 AM on January 11, 2020 at Stone Funeral Home, Inc. in Petoskey. A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
