Timothy Alan Wandrie

Lifelong area resident Timothy Alan Wandrie, passed from this life on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Petoskey at McLaren Northern Michigan.

Tim was born in Cheboygan on April 25, 1965 to James and Jacqueline (Passeno) Wandrie.  Tim’s first years were spent growing up in Cheboygan where he attended elementary school.  His family eventually moved to Boyne City, where Tim graduated from Boyne City High School, Class of 1983.  He worked for several years at the County Star Market in Boyne City, Allied Signal/Bendix, and the Market Basket in Petoskey.   Tim went on to work for Bayside Beverage and for the last 15 years for Fabiano Brothers.

On August 6, 1988 Tim married the love of his life, Julie Swadling, together they raised one son, Matthew.  Both Julie and Matthew were the center of Tim’s universe. He was a wonderful husband and a proud father who loved his family dearly.  Including Julie and Matthew, Tim is also survived by his mother, Jackie and by his brothers and sisters, Dan (Darlene) Wandrie of Petoskey, Pam Jordon of Petoskey, Kim Gahn (Kevin Burnell) of Boyne Falls and Dave (Barb) Wandrie of Boyne City; and by his mother-in-law, Bev Swadling, 2 sisters-in-law, Lisa (Les) Hamilton, Debbie (Rob) Youngs and brother-in-law, Jim Swadling, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Tim was preceded in death by his father James and by his father-in-law, Richard Swadling.

Tim’s family and friends will fondly remember a great husband, dad, son, brother and friend, who was caring, loving and generous.  They will remember his never failing support of his much beloved Red Wings. His fondness for the outdoors, hunting and fishing with family and friends or his competitive side that truly enjoyed a good round of golf or a night of league bowling.

Tim’s family will gather at Stone Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, December 4th where they will receive friends from 6-8pm.   His life will be remembered and celebrated during a Funeral Mass that is planned for Wednesday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.  The Mass will be led by Fr. James Bearss.  Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
