Wilgus Michael Bobo (Mike) of Boyne City, MI passed away December 26th, 2019. He was born in Flint, MI to Jean Freeman Bobo and Wilgus Murrel Bobo on May 21st, 1953. He grew up on their farm in Clio, MI. He was married to Debra Davidek on June 2, 1984, a happy marriage of thirty-five years. They were blessed with two sons, Zane Bobo (1994) and Evan Bobo (1996).
His accomplishments are an Associates of Fine Arts from Mott Community College in Flint, MI, a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Wayne State University of Detroit, MI, and a Masters of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, IL. He was also a sculptor, painter, ceramist and published writer.
He retired from Early On of Michigan in 2016 where he presented his originally written workshops called “Art, The Forgotten Language”. He also served as a technical coordinator and public awareness liaison.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra, and his loving sons, Zane and Evan. He has joined his parents across the river. His wishes are cremation, and a memorial service will be arranged at a later date.
