Adrian D Bye

Adrian D. Bye, 69, of Indian River passed away March 5, 2020. Born in Austin, TX on December 2, 1950, Adrian was the son of Dewitt and Myrtle (Sultemeier) Bye.  He was raised in Hawaii and graduated form Kauai High School in Kauai, Hawaii. He joined the Air Force in October of 1968 as a radar repairman of bomber aircraft.  He did two tours in Thailand and one in Vietnam.  He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1975.

Adrian worked in the drafting department in control engineering in Harbor Springs.  Then he worked in Houston, Texas as a supervisor in a hospital doing work on electric guided cars. He then moved to Indian River and worked in maintenance at Northern Die Cast and finally as a mechanic at the Boat Doctor in Indian River.

He is survived by his wife, Sue (Howard) Bye, of 48 years, his son, Matthew Bye and daughter, Amy (Peter) Graham, grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Conner Bye, and Mya Bye, sister-in-law Mary Lou, brother-in-law Walter Wright, and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother Butch Fox, mother-in-law Shirley Parrish, father-in-law Orman Howard, and sister-in-law Peggy Fowler.  

Funeral services will be held at Stone Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Indian River on Tuesday, March 10th at 1:00 pm, with family meeting friends beginning at 11:00 am.  Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery with a luncheon to follow.
