Alainna Dawn Loehne, 55, of Cheboygan, Michigan, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey. Alainna was born on February 15, 1966 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Barbara Anderson Stoneburner.
Alainna grew up in Cheboygan, graduating from Cheboygan High School and on July 8, 1995, she married Kevin C. Loehne in Cheboygan.
Alainna enjoyed spending time with her family, BBQs, roadtrips, the Special Olympics, and spoiling her grandkids. She was a member of Special Olympics Area 33.
Alainna is survived by her lifelong partner, Fred Thompson, and two daughters, Candace (Jeremy) Trueblood of Sault Ste Marie, and Kassondra (Wes) Johnson of Cheboygan. She is also survived by the joy of her life, her grandchildren, Sakieya Pratt, Madyson Trueblood, Peyton Trueblood, and many others that she considered to be her grandkids. Also surviving are her brother, Jeff (Debbie) Anderson of Sterling Heights, Aimee Faggion of Cheboygan, her step-sister, Victoria Searcy of Cheboygan, and stepfather, Ken Stoneburner of Cheboygan; step-son Jake (Theresa) Loehne. She is also survived by her dog Bella. She was married, but legally separated from Kevin Loehne of Cheboygan.
Alainna also had many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She had a heart of gold and never wanted anyone to go without for the holidays. She was part of the Special Olympics and many others thought of her as mom or sister. She left a mark wherever she went.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Cheboygan Community Wesleyan Church. Visitation will begin at 2:00PM, with the memorial service at 3:00PM. Following the memorial service, a reception at the church will begin at 4:00PM. Rev. Matt Reisinger will officiate.
