Alice Jean Marshall, 90, of Boyne City, Michigan, passed away on August 12, 2025, at Grandvue Medical Care Facility in East Jordan, Michigan.
Daughter of Andy and Della (Slawinski) Naleson, Alice was born on May 18, 1935, in Saginaw, Michigan. Alice grew up in a large family in Polish Community in Saginaw. Close family, church food and gatherings were plentiful. She graduated from Saints Peter and Paul High School. Alice also completed a program in radiologic technology to become an x-ray technician.
On September 26, 1977, she married Robert Marshall in Flint, Michigan.
After settling in Boyne City volunteering was her passion. She volunteered at the Boyne Area Free Clinic, Boyne Valley Garden Club, and Charlevoix Area Humane Society.
Alice loved to laugh. She and Robert enjoyed traveling together to Fiji, New Zealand, Tahiti and across the U.S.
She is survived by her son Daniel Wolcott, Sr; daughter Terry Smith; grandchildren Daniel Wolcott, Jr., Aaron Wolcott, Michelle Violette, and Shawn Eubanks; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and sister Jean Schuler.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband Robert Marshall; her parents Andy and Della Naleson; and her brother Robert Naleson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory can be made to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society, Boyne Area Free Clinic, Boyne Valley Garden Club, or a charity of your choice.
A funeral Mass officiated by Father Dennis Stilwell will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church on August 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and burial will follow Mass at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
