Ancil L. Lovitt Jr.

Ancil (Lou) Louis Lovitt Jr, 86, of Afton Michigan passed away on Sunday September 20,2020 at Munson Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord Michigan.

Lou was born on January 24th 1934 in Kentucky to parents Ancil and Cynthia (Moses) Lovitt.  He enlisted into the United States Marine Corp and was a Veteran if the Korean War.  He married his wife Patricia (Cloutier) Lovitt on April 13th 1957.

Lou was preceded in death by his parents, his 2 sisters Janice Hinson and Betty Lou Lovitt, his son Louis Lovitt, and great grandson Chanler Gilham.

Lou is survived by his wife of 63 years Patricia; daughter Deb Markle and her children Nathan(Raquel) Markle, Sam Markle, Kendra(Luke) Gilham ; daughter Karen(Roger) Fater and their children Kasie(Darrin) Anderson, Rodney(Amy) Fater, and Taylor Fater Zimmerman;  son Michael (Tammy) Lovitt and their children Matthew Lovitt, Joshua(Alyeska) Lovitt, Wilbur(Jenna) Lovitt, Jacob Lovitt. Also 13 Great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday September 25th at Northern Michigan Baptist Bible Church 1833 McMichael Rd, Alanson Michigan 49706.  Service is at 3pm with luncheon to follow and gravesite service at 5 pm.
