Anthony (Tony) Joseph Nagi, 53, of Topinabee passed away on October 3, 2021. Tony was born in Detroit on December 27, 1967 but spent the majority of his youth in Presque Isle County. He graduated from Posen High School in 1986 and finished his further education at Lake Superior State University. While there he made some wonderful life-long friendships that he treasured.
Tony loved hunting and fishing but most of all he loved to be at Northwind, a cabin in the Upper Peninsula. Lake Stella was his happy place especially when he was joined by his uncles and his best friend Hick. A music lover, Tony enjoyed listening to his many CDs and loved cranking up the volume to get the most out of each song. In 2000 Tony became an uncle and it was a hat he wore with great honor. He was blessed with two more beautiful nieces and a handsome nephew. He loved them with his whole heart.
Tony is survived by his loving brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Ann Nagi, his devoted sister, Angela Nagi and his little sister Deb Brown and his kind brother-in-law Bill Brown. He leaves behind some very special family members that he loved dearly – Uncle Wally Nagi, Uncle Tony Nagi, Aunt Linda Poznanski, nieces Chloe, Sophie, Evelyn and his nephew Will. In addition, he leaves behind his very best friend and fishing buddy Hick, along with Rae Ann, Hick’s wife.
He is preceded in death by his ever-loving parents, Ray and Barb Nagi, his kind and gentle Uncle Frank Poznanski and his beautiful Aunt Mary T.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 7th at Cross in The Woods Shrine. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
Stone Funeral Home in Indian River is handling arrangements of the family.
