Ashley (Carson) Brong

Ashley Lynn (Carson) Brong, 42 of Holland, Michigan, passed away on Sunday June 14, 2026, in her childhood home in Boyne Falls, Michigan. 

Daughter of David and Debbie (Zakrzewski) Carson, Ashley was born on October 27, 1983, in Petoskey, Michigan. She grew up in Boyne Falls and graduated from Boyne City High School. Ashley attended college at North Central Michigan College. 

On August 6, 2021, she married Matthew Allen Brong in Charlevoix, Michigan. 

Ashley worked as a banker and helped with emergency medical services prior to being disabled by multiple sclerosis and Crohn’s Disease. This progressed into multiple bouts with cancer. 

She loved her family, dogs, cats, sunflowers, nature and skiing. 

Ashley is survived by her husband Matthew Brong; son Keegan Whisker; daughter Morgan Whisker; father David Carson; brother Joshua Carson; and stepchildren Gabriel Brong, Zander Brong, and Calla Brong. 

She is preceded in death by her mother Debbie Carson.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. David Behling will be at the Boyne Valley Twp. Cemetery on June 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow after at the Boyne Falls United Methodist Church.
