Barbara R. Rohraff, 83 of Indian River, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, surrounded by her family and caregivers.
Born on June 11, 1942, in Detroit, Barbara was the daughter of Leroy and Ruth McCamant. She graduated from Redford Union High School. In her early adult years Barbara dedicated her life to her family, later worked for the Clarenceville school district and volunteered at the Indian River Methodist church where she inspired others with her patience, kindness, and love for helping others.
Barbara had a passion for reading and a devoted member of her church community. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son Ronald (Rebecca) Rohraff, sister-in-law Irene McCamant, niece Shelley McCloud (Alan) and her three nephews Gary (Sandy) McCamant, Tim (Thea) McCamant, Robert (Monique) McCamant and all their children and grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years Ronnie Rohraff, son Steven Rohraff and brother Robert McCamant.
A memorial service will be held later in the Metro Detroit Area.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local Special Olympics program in Farmington Hills, Michigan in Barbara’s honor.
Barbara will be remembered for her warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
