Betsy D. “Betty” Jackson, age 92 of Cheboygan passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at her home. She was born October 26, 1927 in Detroit, the daughter of Alexander and Betsy (Dundas) Forbes. On April 12, 1958 in Royal Oak, Betty married Arthur A. Jackson who preceded her in death on December 4, 2019.

Betty worked as a clerk for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. in Royal Oak and retired in 1986 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, boating, spending time with her grandchildren and walking at the mall with her friends in Clearwater, Florida, where they vacationed for over 30 years.

Survivors include her son, Arthur (Christine) Jackson of Cheboygan, two grandchildren, Jasmine (Jon Phillips) Jackson of Florida, and Rory Jackson of California, three great grandchildren, Mia, Jayson and Leo Phillips, sister-in-law, Corabelle “Corkey” and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Arthur, she was preceded in death by her brother Al.

Burial will take place at the Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak. Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
