Betty June (Ward) Deschermeier

At the age of 91, Betty June Ward Morse Deschermeier went into the arms of her Savior on May 7, 2026. 

Betty was born on April 29, 1935, raised in Good Hart and resided in the Harbor Springs area most of her life. Her sweet, kind and gentle personality was a blessing to all who knew her. Betty loved music and played the piano, organ, banjo and harmonica. One of the joys of her life was singing, participating in choirs in school and church, Sweet Adelines, The Friendship Center Chorus and the Little Traverse Chamber Singers. She loved her flower gardens and birds, and spending time with her Lord in His Word and in prayer. Along with being a homemaker, Betty worked as a dental assistant for 26 years.

She is survived by her three children, Glendee Wakeman, Terry Morse (Tami) and Tony Morse (Diane); 6 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 21 great step-grandchildren; 4 great-great step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands Glen Morse and Joe Deschermeier.

A Memorial Service will be held at Main Street Baptist Church in Harbor Springs on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held beforehand from 1-2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Main Street Baptist Church.
